3 Ways To Make Money Without Leaving The Sofa

I’ve always been a bit of a hustler, so when it comes to making a little bit of pocket money on the side, I’m open to trying almost anything.

There are hundreds of ways to make money without having to leave your sofa, but today I’m going to take you through my top 3. Many money making side hustles require quite a lot of patience and dedication due to each ‘task’ (whether that be a survey, shop, take a picture etc) releases a small amount of money that builds up over time. Eventually, you reach your cash out limit (for example £10), and only then can you transfer your money to your bank account.

There’s really no quick way to get an emergency cash injection from sites like these – if cash is what you need, you should take a look at this guide on how to make extra cash in a hurry. Along with completing those activities, don’t forget to do simple but effective tasks, such as selling your unwanted possessions or offering your skills up in exchange for money on sites like Fiverr.

These 3 methods of making money from your living room that I am sharing with you today are my go-to’s when I need to scrape together a little bit of extra money. This money really comes in handy if you’re a bit short by the end of the month, you want to treat yourself and your partner, you’re saving up for a holiday, or you just want to start putting away a few extra pennies towards something big.

Prolific.co

First up is Prolific, a survey site with a difference! Most survey sites will screen you out at some point, but not Prolific. Prolific.co is used to gather behavioural research, user research, and market research – meaning the surveys are always engaging and interesting to participate in. Researchers will pay you for taking the time to complete their surveys, but here’s the best bit, there are usually some really good payouts! Some surveys are £5 and up, so it really doesn’t take too long to build up a good amount of spare money.

TopCashback

Okay so it’s not exactly a money making site in the traditional sense, but TopCashback is basically my best friend these days. Every time I buy ANYTHING online, I always go through TopCashback first. They have hundreds of retailers listed, from take away services like Just Eat all the way through to utility providers. Cashback percentages vary from retailer to retailer and every little bit adds up quite quickly. You can cashout to your bank, PayPal, or to one of their listed retailers. Each retailer specifies their own cashout limit. If you want to join TopCashback, please consider using my referral link

Matched Betting

Matched betting is a completely legal and risk free method of making extra money. I know people who have literally paid off entire weddings and bought new houses with money that they’ve exclusively made from this clever trick. There are some brilliant resources out there for people who want to get started, but I found Neesha’s Money Making website to be the most helpful and beneficial to me. She also runs a matched betting Facebook support group which has really helped build up my matched betting profit margin.

*Update* – I recently found out about a similar method to matched betting that I thought you might like – online casinos that don’t have any wagering requirements. You sign up, get a bonus, and whatever you win is paid as cash. It’s pretty unlikely that you’ll be paying off weddings or buying houses, but it’s another legal and quick way to try and win a bit of something. I read Casino-Professor’s guide to no wagering casinos to get started. They explain how this trick works, while listing a range of eligible sites where you can try it.
